What happens when I go for treatment?
For a reflexology treatment you will be invited to sit or lie on a comfortable treatment chair or table. As this is predominantly a foot treatment you simply remove your shoes and socks. Depending on your personal preferences a treatment may also include your calves so trousers wide enough to roll up are recommended.
On your first visit, we will conduct a full consultation which includes your past and present health and lifestyle. The consultation enables the treatment to be tailored to your specific needs and preferences.
All information is shared is kept strictly confidential.
A reflexology treatment lasts for approximately one hour. Allow a few minutes extra for conversation after your treatment. As the effects of reflexology are cumulative, many people find it beneficial to continue with regular treatments.
How will I feel after a reflexology treatment?
I encourage all my clients to listen to their body and put aside some time to relax after the treatment. This helps maximize the effects of reflexology and boost the body’s natural healing abilities. Increasing the amount of water you drink may also help to flush toxins out of your system thereby aiding the detoxifying process. Your body may respond in a very specific way but most people note a sense of well-being, relaxation, improved sleep to name but a few.
